Sheela joined the firm as a Consultant in January 2009. She was previously the sole proprietor of a full-service law practice from 1999 until the end of 2008.

Sheela holds an LLB (Honours) and an LLM in Commercial & Corporate Law from Queen Mary College, University of London. She is a Barrister of the Middle Temple and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1992. Her primary areas of practice include civil and commercial litigation, matrimonial and family law, landlord and tenant and property law, general commercial and corporate law, and solicitors’ work.

Sheela was a Group Legal Officer at Keppel Corporation, where she was involved in contractual, commercial and corporate matters across the Keppel group of companies, before joining Messrs Peter Chua & Partners as a Senior Legal Assistant. There she concentrated on civil and commercial litigation and general commercial and corporate law matters. She is a member of the Catholic Lawyers Guild and volunteers at its legal clinics.
